8898 – club sounds from 1988 to 1998 23 février 2017 20:00 Festival Empire Control Room & Garage
“bliss it was in that dawn to be alive, but to be young was very heaven” – w. wordsworth
this party started in manhattan’s east village by a bunch of friends that had an adoration for an era of music that was fun, unaffected, hedonistic, and unpretentious – the club sounds from 1988 to 1998. devoid of mc’s and fueled by dj’s in rotation the night was about the debauchery that happens when the beats hit hard, the lights start swirling, and the booze kicks in. now, we’re bringing the party to austin nightlife with a playlist curated by @ROI33 (universal music, sony music, tvt), LAMBDA (sound control records), and QUEENKILLAHBEE. taking you from the streets to the warehouse to the club and back. so come as you are or come as you imagine yourself to be, and check your inhibitions at the door! it’s time to drink, dance, and let go.
FREE w/ RSVP before 11pm: http://bit.ly/8898club
$5 after 11pm at the door.
