Unseen Photo Festival Official Opening, 16 septembre 2016 17:30, Museum Het Schip
Join us for the official opening of Unseen Photo Festival at Museum Het Schip on Friday the 16th of September!
Following an opening speech and welcoming drinks, Anton Corbijn’s guest-curated exhibition TOUCHED – Craftsmanship in Contemporary Photography will open.
We invite visitors to explore the other remarkable locations of the festival, including Christto&Andrew’s The Politics of Sport at the outdoor swimming pool Brediusbad and a selection of works from upcoming Japanese artists in the Beyond 2020 exhibition at Josilda da Conceicao Gallery.
The exhibition Being Typhoon… every day by photographer Isabelle Renate la Poutré Photography will also commence that night at WestCord Art Hotel Amsterdam. For this occasion Typhoon will be performing a spoken word during the festival opening at Museum Het Schip, before opening the exhibition in the Art Hotel that is produced in collaboration with Melkweg Expo.
This is a free event and we truly hope to welcome everyone to join in on the spectacular festivities!

This year, from 16th to the 25th of September, Unseen hosts the second edition of Unseen Photo Festival – a ten-day celebration of photography in Amsterdam. The festival brings together an exciting array of artists, venues, institutions, project spaces and local initiatives to fill the city with photography.

About Unseen Photo Fair
