TSUSHIMAMIRE, 30 novembre 2016, Ubu-ATM Association Trans Musicales
TsuShiMaMiRe are true icons in the country of the Rising Sun but remain unknown in Europe. Unlike other Nipponese (include the easy listining Pizzicato Five or noise harsch Merzbow), this female trio can not be classified. Since 1999, with basic gear (guitar, bass, drums) and a dozen of albums done, the Japanese have happily crushed punk rock, free jazz, surf, ska or funk with absurd stories in the language of Mishima. This iconoclastic approach earned them to open for the famous burlesque show of Suicide Girls. As turbulent, malignant and nervous as Deerhoof, their songs do not care about the rules of decency and have a mischievous tone that owes much to the high-pitched voice of the guitarist and singer Mari stamp.
