VYRYL, 3 décembre 2016, LE LIBERTÉ L’ÉTAGE
Vyryl are not all blood and thunder. And for good reason. This mixed pair from Besançon debunks the stereotypes of synthesizer music of the 80s (new wave, electropunk), giving it some glorious vulgarity of their most dubious descendants. They cover Prodigy for example, if you get the idea. The prominent instrumentarium is a powerful combination of drums and machines. The iconography, which gives the whole room to hair and genitals, is also leading. Beyond the demonstration of strength and potacherie, Vyryl know how to make melodies that even if they are robotic and fun stick to the audience’s cortex as a sour chewing gum to a sole.
