It is difficult to find someone more adequate to talk about artistic freedom as Ole Reitov does. As a co-founder of Freemuse in 1998, Ole Reitov has documented violations on artistic freedom of musical expression worldwide for decades.
Reitov is the Co-editor of the book ‘Smashed Hits – the Book of Banned Music’ and took the initiative to the 1st World Conference on Music and Censorship which was held in 1998. He has lectured world-wide on music censorship, cultural policies and cultural diversity, and worked as media and music consultant in Mali, India, Gabon, Botswana and Bhutan and as journalist in more than 40 countries for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation.
