GEOGRAPHY OF TIME
The exhibition Geography of Time, which brings together ten works made between 2000 and 2013, highlights the importance in the artist’s practice of the intimate links that connect individuals to the space and time they inhabit.
PICASSO AND ME
Following the first stage of the project presented at the Maeght Foundation (2014-2015), this exhibition will juxtapose paintings, prints, sculptures and tapestries by Damien Deroubaix with a group of artworks by Pablo Picasso, thus underlining the essential role the Spanish master has played in the development of Deroubaix’s work.
QUIZ 2 – BASED ON AN IDEA BY ROBERT STADLER
PART OF DESIGN CITY – LXBG BIENNALE
27/04 – 22/05/2016
In 2013, the City of Nancy gave carte blanche to the designer Robert Stadler. He joined Alexis Vaillant, then curator at the CAPC Contemporary Art Museum in Bordeaux, to curate an exhibition made of unrecognisable objects and titled QUIZ, based on an idea by Robert Stadler. In this exhibition, the selected objects overshot the usual formulas “art or design?” / “art and design?”. Two years later, Mudam Luxembourg proposed Robert Stadler and Alexis Vaillant to imagine a sequel to this exhibition.
The US artist Sarah Oppenheimer sees her interventions as catalysts for sharpening awareness of the spaces in which they take place.
British artist Beatrice Gibson develops an experimental approach to storytelling in her films. She is the winner of the Baloise Art Prize 2015.
