Quentin Bruno discovered photography at 18 years old in Canada after assisting on commercial shoots and exchanging the time spent for lessons from a photographer. His first solo report, on homelessness in Canada, sparked his interest in social commentary photography.

Upon returning to Belgium he became heavily involved with music photography, capturing up-close and personal shots of some of the most renowned artists on the music scene though he continued documenting the plight of refugees living in his home country. After years of travel and personal adventure, he gained a wealth of experience as a photojournalist working for magazines and newspapers, all the while continuing to document the music scene in various countries, one being a visual story of controversial Palestinian Hip Hop band Dam.

His decision to leave Belgium was fuelled by the development of the project Kid Lost, a collaboration with fellow creative and writer Clé Hunnigan, dedicated to covering the world refugee crisis. After living in Lebanon for a year to document the Syrian refugee crisis, the pair came back to Europe to raise awareness of this humanitarian crisis, with a focus on Calais, the port city that hosts one of Europe’s biggest and most famous refugee camps – ‘The Jungle’. Quentin’s work, including the Kid Lost project has been featured in several publications including Fisheye Magazine and Konbini. It has also been the focus of multiple exhibitions, conferences, festivals –including Festival photo La Gacilly, and won several prizes.
